Action Signal LLC, d/b/a Action Signal (“Action Signal,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit actionsignal.ai, request a demo, submit a form, communicate with us, or use our related products, services, research, workflows, or content offerings (collectively, the “Services”).

Information From Integrations and Third-Party Sources
If you connect third-party tools, platforms, APIs, data sources, or storage systems, we may receive information necessary to provide the requested functionality. Depending on the integration, this may include account identifiers, file metadata, catalog data, campaign data, CRM records, communications metadata, workflow inputs, and other customer-authorized business information.
Publicly Available and Research Data
We may collect and process publicly available information relevant to our Services, including publicly available reviews, comments, market signals, demographic information, and similar public or licensed business-relevant data sources.

We collect personal information:

- Automatically from your use of the website or Services
- From connected third-party systems and integrations you authorize
- From service providers acting on our behalf
- From publicly available sources
- From commercial or research data sources, where permitted by law
3. How We Use Information
We may use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services
- Respond to inquiries, demo requests, onboarding, and support
- Analyze products, messaging, audience signals, market inputs, reviews, and performance patterns
- Generate research, recommendations, content concepts, drafts, prototypes, and strategic outputs
- Authenticate users and manage accounts or access
- Communicate with you about the Services, updates, and administrative matters
- Measure website and product engagement
- Secure the Services and detect fraud, abuse, or misuse
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements
- Send marketing communications where permitted by law
- Develop, train, tune, evaluate, and improve our internal systems, models, workflows, and analytics capabilities, using public data, licensed data, and Aggregated Data as defined in our Terms of Use, and using customer-provided data only as necessary to provide, support, secure, improve, and administer the Services for the customer who provided it
4. AI Processing and Internal Training
Our Services may use large language models and other machine learning systems to process data, generate outputs, and support research, analysis, automation, and workflow execution.
We process customer-provided business data to provide, support, secure, improve, and administer the Services for the customer who provided it, as permitted by that customer’s agreement with us. We do not use one customer’s Customer Content to generate outputs for another customer.
Separately, we create Aggregated Data, meaning aggregated, statistical, and de-identified data derived from Customer Content and from use of the Services, as that term is defined in our Terms of Use. Aggregated Data does not identify, and cannot reasonably be used to identify or re-identify, any customer, brand, product, or individual. We use Aggregated Data, together with publicly available information, public reviews, public comments, and licensed data, to develop, train, evaluate, tune, and improve our internal systems, models, and analytics capabilities, including for the benefit of other customers.
Third-party model providers do not train on your data. Customer Content is sent to the model providers listed in our Data Processing Addendum only to generate the output you requested, and those providers are contractually prohibited from using it to train or improve their own models.
Separately, and as permitted by Section 6 of our Terms of Use, Action Signal may use Aggregated Data to develop, train, and evaluate its own models. Aggregated Data has been de-identified and cannot reasonably be used to identify or re-identify any customer, brand, product, or individual. We do not train our own models on one customer’s Customer Content in a form that could produce outputs for another customer.
We may use third-party model and infrastructure providers to help deliver the Services, including providers in categories such as:
- Model providers
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers
- Database and storage providers
- Application hosting and deployment providers
- Connectors and integration providers
- Analytics, communications, and support providers
These providers may change over time, and we may use additional service providers and subprocessors in the ordinary course of business.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. “Sell” and “share” have the meanings given to them by the California Consumer Privacy Act.
We may disclose information to:
- Service providers and subprocessors that support hosting, infrastructure, analytics, communications, storage, authentication, security, support, and payment processing
- Model providers and technical vendors involved in delivering AI-assisted functionality
- Third-party platforms, APIs, and connectors you direct us to use
- Advisors, contractors, and affiliates working on our behalf under appropriate obligations
- Authorities or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, users, property, or the public
- Parties involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, understand traffic and usage patterns, remember preferences, improve performance, and support analytics. See our Cookie Policy for details.

7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, improve our systems, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, or security obligations.
We retain Aggregated Data indefinitely. Because Aggregated Data is de-identified and cannot reasonably be used to re-identify any individual, it is not subject to the retention limits that apply to personal information.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Know what categories of personal information we collect
- Know the categories of sources and third parties involved
- Request access to personal information
- Request correction
- Request deletion
- Opt out of certain uses where required by law
- Opt out of marketing communications

Legal bases for processing (EEA and UK). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation or the UK GDPR applies to our processing, we rely on the following legal bases. We rely on performance of a contract for processing necessary to provide the Services to you or to the customer whose account you use. We rely on our legitimate interests in securing, developing, evaluating, and improving the Services for the creation and use of Aggregated Data, and for direct marketing to business contacts. We rely on consent where consent is required, including for certain marketing communications and for cookies as described in our Cookie Policy. We rely on compliance with a legal obligation where processing is required by law.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we take into account that data is de-identified before it becomes Aggregated Data and cannot reasonably be used to re-identify any individual. You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. To object, contact privacy@actionsignal.ai.
Once data has been de-identified into Aggregated Data it is no longer personal data, and the rights of access, correction, deletion, and objection no longer apply to it. Where we act as a processor for a customer, that customer’s instructions to us are governed by the data processing agreement between us.
California. Aggregated Data is deidentified information as that term is defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act, and is not personal information. We maintain Aggregated Data in deidentified form, we do not attempt to reidentify it, and we contractually obligate any recipient not to reidentify it. Our creation and use of Aggregated Data to develop, evaluate, and improve our Services is not a “sale” and is not a “share” of personal information as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act.
10. Children's Privacy
The Services are intended for business users and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
11. Third-Party Services
The Services may link to or integrate with third-party platforms, tools, APIs, websites, or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above.
