What is a credit, and what does one cost me?
There are two, and each buys exactly one thing. A report credit runs one full optimization report on a product. An audience credit is one question put to a panel: one credit, whatever the panel size, and every panelist answers. Building and rebuilding panels costs no credits at all; how many you can keep at once is your plan's panel slots. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of both credits; add-on packs top you up.
Does the trial renew every month?
No. The trial allowance is a one-time grant so you can run the engine on a single product and see a synthetic customer built from real signal. When it earns its keep, you upgrade to a paid plan with monthly credits.
How does getting started actually work?
Action Signal is invite-only during beta. You request access, we approve your account, and then you subscribe and start running decisions. We don't charge anyone before they're approved: there's no card required to request access.
What happens to unused credits at the end of the month?
Monthly plan credits reset each billing cycle. Allowances are sized to what you track (roughly four analyses per product slot per month, plus a shared pool of panel questions), so a plan should cover a normal month of decisions. For an occasional spike, an add-on pack tops you up immediately; if you are topping up most months, the next tier up is the cheaper move.
What is a panel slot, and what happens if I fill them all?
A panel slot is one saved audience you can keep and come back to. Building a panel, regenerating it, or replacing it costs nothing while you are inside your slots: you only spend credits when you ask a panel a question. If every slot is full, delete one you have finished with or move up a tier for more.
How many people should be in a panel?
Eight by default, sixteen at most. Past roughly sixteen, synthetic panelists stop adding new perspectives and start repeating each other, so a bigger panel costs you more waiting without telling you more. Every panelist answers every question, and the question still costs one credit either way.
I subscribe here. What happens if I install your Shopify app?
Shopify requires apps installed from their App Store to bill through Shopify, so installing from the listing moves your subscription there. We cancel your card subscription at that moment and refund the unused part of the period you already paid for, and your plan and credits carry over unchanged. If you would rather keep billing as it is, connect your store from inside Action Signal under Integrations instead of installing from the App Store.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Yes. Once you're on a paid plan you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime from the in-app billing settings, which manage your subscription through Stripe. Add-on seats and product slots can be added or removed the same way.
